Today I am 176 pounds. I weighed myself daily last week and I was between 174 to 178 pounds.
I have been intermittent fasting since mid August (for 2.5 months), I started because of my health, I thought it would help my tumors (soft tissue sarcoma) to not to grow, or I wanted them to starve to death. I am not sure whats happening inside, since I haven’t had a CT scan since I started fasting, but I love the feeling of being hungry and loosing weight. Since I started fasting, most of the time I felt more energetic during the day as well, but sometimes I felt the lack of energy too. So the energy is not the same everyday.
When I started in mid August, my weight was around196-197 pounds, it looks like I have lost 20 pounds in 10 weeks. First two weeks, I lost very fast, like almost a pound in every two days, and then it started slowing down and you lose less and less each day. For many many years in my 20’s my weight was between 73-75 kg, Which is around 160-165 pounds, which means I need to loose another 12-16 pounds to get back to my old shape, If I lose only one pound a week which is doable with the intermittent fasting I can be in my old weight in 12-16 weeks or three to four months.
Besides fasting, I am also doing tai chi, which is a simple stretching exercise every morning for 30 minutes in the park, and I try to do workout twice a week about 45 minutes each at karate dojo.
The fasting starts after the last bite of the day. It doesn’t matter if I stay hungry for a couple of hours and have a snack later on, the fast starts right after that snack, so it definitely stops me having snacks late night because the next day I have to stay hungry. Somedays I put the last bite to my mouth at 2 pm, sometimes at 10 pm, but I always start my fast after the last bite.
I wasn’t sure if I could do this every day, so first, I started with 12 hour fasting, then 14, then 16 hour, 18 hour, 20 hour, 22 hour, 24 hour and tried 25 hour fasting once last week, most days it starts getting more difficult after 12 hours. If I pass between 12 to 16 hours window, I can go up to 20 to 24 hours without eating. But between 12 to 16 hours is my weakest Period.
Today is October 31, meaning I can be 165 on January 31 if I keep fasting like this. I hope I will be writing here in three months, stating that I lost 12 more pounds and now I am under the 65 pounds and healthy of course.

I have been weighing myself and lately it fluctuates between 166 to 169 lb’s. I almost stopped loosing weight two month ago. I have been very good with my intermittent fasting in general, which I am doing it between 18 to 20 hours daily, and even I don’t loose weight I am still happy with it because i am not gaining back.
I was in Turkiye in January for two weeks (before the big earthquake) and my family and friends were initially disappointed with me because I was saying no to most food offerings. However after a couple of days they got used to it and realized how determined I was, they stopped insisting. In fact my brother, father and some of my friends started the intermittent fasting themselves which was encouraging to see.
